The "Flying Pig"and one of the worst cars ever sold in Britain... we proudly present Austin Allegro t-shirts and gifts.
The Austin Allegro was a small family car produced by British Leyland (BL) under the Austin brand between 1973 and 1982. It was designed as a successor to the popular Austin 1100/1300 series but became infamous or famous for its unusual design, quality issues, and poor reception.
The Allegro had a rounded, bulbous shape that was meant to be aerodynamic but was widely criticized for looking awkward. The most famous design quirk was the "Quartic" steering wheel (a squarish steering wheel), which was unpopular and later abandoned.
Underrated classic car
It's not as mainstream as some rivals, making it a unique choice for enthusiasts looking for something different.
I made several colour options for car illustrations like white, red, blue, green, yellow, orange or gold, silver or grey and black.
All Zazzle products are customizable! There may be two images per item, Allegro text (model badge) and car illustration. Move, resize, align, copy or delete images like you wish, make it your own. Change item style and colour.
